This is one of only a handful of five stars I've ever given out. The service was simply amazing. We were in town for a hockey game, looking for a good home cooked meal. The pasta was very fresh and homemade. The restaurant made you feel like you were at home. Highly recommend.

Update: April2025 Carbonara Pizza perfection!! Feb 12 2025 Visited visited for lunch today. Our server was Deb. She's great. Had a medium carbonara pizza, couple of Guinness, and couple of Sundaes for desserts. I've come here many times over many years and being new diners here all the time. I always love the ambiance of this place; I love the layout, I love the lighting I love the seating, it's always clean and fun. Even if it's busy it's never too noisy. Service is always quick. The only thing I think they could do better is to expand their beer selection... 2024: Enjoyed a meal here many times. The service is always friendly, they decor is always cool, it's always clean, and the food is always great! This is our favorite place to eat in Fort Erie

We found this restaurant on Google Maps with excellent ratings. When we arrived, the interior looked quite unassuming, but the restaurant completely exceeded our expectations. It has a cozy, homey atmosphere, and the vintage tools from the ‘70s give you the feeling of being not just at home, but in a truly unique place. The portion sizes were incredibly generous. I ordered extra mushrooms and extra meatballs with my pasta, and I’ll be having it for dinner and breakfast too! An absolutely fantastic place—if you get a chance to stop by, definitely do it. The service was outstanding; all the staff were attentive, and even the manager came over to make sure we were happy.

The wait staff work quickly & are friendly. The Tiramisu is the best in the area. Not to many places offer all homemade dishes anymore.

The atmosphere at Barrel Italian Restaurant was amazing. It had a great vibe. The restaurant’s history and authenticity were evident from its beautiful interior and old-fashioned decorations. Rebecca was also truly kind and welcoming, providing us with excellent service.

10/10 Dining Experience at The Barrel! What an incredible experience! Everything from start to finish was absolutely lovely. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was perfectly prepared, and the service was truly top-notch. A special shoutout to our server, Rebecca, who went above and beyond to make our evening memorable with laughter and moments infused in enjoyment!! She made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend!

The food here is amazing, the dishes all had a lot of flavor. The bruscetta was fantastic and so was the chicken parm. I loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent. There is lots of free parking, they also offer takeout.

We had a great time dining at The Barrel and I have to say that Ida made the meal unforgettable. I will be talking about this place for years to come. From the moment we sat down I knew we were in good hands. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to walk us through our options and gave us enough time to figure it out when we weren't sure what to order. Her sense of humor was right up our alley, making it feel like we were being served by a friend we had known for years. Ida's genuine care for her customers really shines through. If you're lucky enough to have her as your server, you are in for an amazing time. Highly recommend The Barrel, the food was also amazing.
